About Our Firm
Audreyโs passion for helping people start their own nonprofit organizations came from adversity.
She started her nonprofit, Revolution Leadership, Inc., as a college student. Although she had big dreams for the organization โ those dreams almost came to an end.
She received bad advice from a lawyer that didn't specialize in nonprofit law - and her organization lost it's nonprofit status with the IRSย as a result.
To make matters worse, she found out that two organizations were using her nonprofit's name without her permission to raise money because the lawyer never told her that setting up her nonprofit wasn't enough to own and protect the name.
Lastly, she struggled to raise money and ended up paying for everything herself.
Things changed when began studying nonprofit law while in law school. She learned strategies that major law firms used when forming nonprofits for their clients and studied the best practices of the most successful nonprofits.
She realized that due to the way her nonprofit was structured โ she was missing out on funding opportunities.
Using her newfound legal knowledge, she reapplied and obtained nonprofit status with the IRS, legally protected her nonprofit's brand and learned how to get funding.
Now, her nonprofit has nonprofit has served almost 2,000 students and has awarded 49 college scholarships.
Revolution Leadershipยฎ received major grants from Wells Fargoยฎ, Enterpriseยฎ as well as corporate sponsorships from Wal-martยฎ, Olive Gardenยฎ, and Chick-fil-Aยฎ.
She graduated from law school and started Chisholm Law Firm, PLLC โ a firm whose mission is to help 1 million people start and grow nonprofits that impact the worldย and to help founders avoid the challenges that she faced when started her charity.
As she always says "It shouldn't be this hard to be a super hero."
